A lot is slowing down,
Towards a halt.
The pandemic has pressed the reset to default.
Earth is breathing;
Let down for some healing.

No men across;
Pigeons on road,
So fearlessly they cross.
So bold so dauntless walking outdoors,
Nothing to flee from,
Feeling at home.
Dogs loiter confident and mettlesome,
In expansion of their territories and kingdoms.
Dolphins returning to the coasts;
Swimming lively in the quieter marine
With rare tormenting boats.

They are returning, the butterflies and the bees
And ruminants strolling in the empty colonies,
Feeling as if a needed guest.
Isn’t it so much a movie’s quest?
Man has made his life so constrained,
With laws and coins that keep him restrained.
Their worth, their position, that they proclaim,
Running and earning and minting;
For all on earth, will that remain?

Peace stillness quietness all around;
Always wanted to experience such a ground.
Delighted to feel the emptiness;
The famed curiosity,
Had mingled the humans for long;
“What if the earth stood still”
Now locked in your homes,
Be the witness to her will.
Some say its time,
Nature will clutch the leash,
Some talk of crisis and the economic crash,
Some say it is the will of God,
Others say, this all
A consequence of the man’s fraud
After all, he is the one who broke the code.

No honking, no shouting, no violence,
I hope man will miss this silence,
And desire to relive the moment.
Not just letting those poor beings out
And shutting himself locked down,
But to live together in harmony,
Inviting a new dawn.
